Our Story
Gemgaze Studio was born from two tabletop game-loving designers’ obsession with “collection”. We’ve always thought that a tabletop enthusiast’s bookshelf shouldn’t only hold cards and rulebooks; it should also have a “token” that carries adventure memories and stands the test of time. And gemstones, as it turns out, are the perfect carrier for this obsession.
At first, we were just looking for a “special die” for our tabletop game circle. Plastic dice on the market are practical, but lack warmth; ordinary accessories can barely resonate with tabletop passion. So we started handpicking gemstones. We saw sunset over fantasy worlds in the iridescence of opals, searched for dungeon shadows in the deep blue of lapis lazuli, and caught the wind of adventures in the light stripes of cat’s eye stones. Then we invited master craftsmen to carve classic tabletop elements (dragon scale patterns, mysterious rune symbols) gently onto the stone surfaces.
The first time we placed the finished dice on a game table, the noisy clatter of rolling suddenly softened. Someone held that sea-blue cat’s eye die, stared at it in the light for a long time, and said: “This looks exactly like the coastal secret realm my character saw for the first time.” In that moment, we suddenly realized: Gemgaze isn’t just “selling gemstone dice” — we’re helping every player turn the emotions from tabletop games into tangible memories that can be held in hands and displayed on shelves.
Today, every gemstone die on Gemgaze Studio’s shelves has its own “story”. We record which mine it comes from, which tabletop game setting inspired its carving, and even name special designs — like the “Pathfinder’s Eye” lapis lazuli dice, or the “D&D Glow” opal dice. We don’t chase mass production; we just hope every player who steps into Gemgaze can find that one die that “understands them”. It may not often appear on the game table, but every time they see its faint glow under the light, they’ll remember those nights sitting around the table with friends, their hearts racing for their characters’ fates.
